The Opportunity
Join a globally recognised leader in the design of high-end building envelope systems. As a CAD Technician within this highly skilled team, you will receive specialist design training and work on a diverse range of prestigious international projects, playing a pivotal role in bridging the gap between design and manufacturing.
The Role
- Create detailed 2D & 3D designs for standard and bespoke products using AutoCAD.
- Generate Laser & Router nests for sheet metal processing using CNC programming software (e.g., RADAN).
- Work closely with the production team to solve technical issues and ensure order accuracy.
- Process complex manufacturing orders using CAD and Excel.
Requirements
What You’ll Need
- Expertise in AutoCAD 2D: This is a core requirement for detailing architectural components.
- CNC Programming Experience: Proven ability to program lasers, turrets, or routers for manufacturing.
- Manufacturing Background: Previous experience in sheet metal/flat sheet development is highly desirable.
- Drawing Interpretation: Ability to accurately interpret construction and manufacturing drawings.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a design-to-manufacture environment.
