A County Durham manufacturer, supplying fabricated metal products to the construction industry, is looking for a Setter Operator to strengthen their production team. This Setter Operator role involves setting, programming and running punch and press machinery to meet design specifications and quality standards, reporting to the Team Leader. You will be a key part of the shift, balancing individual output with wider team targets.
Key responsibilities
- Setting, programming and operating punch and press equipment
- Interpreting engineering drawings and working to agreed quality standards
- Agreeing and meeting production targets with the leadership team
- Carrying out TPM and flagging any repairs or servicing needs
- Completing safety checks and documentation accurately
- Getting involved in new working methods and process improvements
- Assisting other production areas when needed
- Keeping the work area safe and organised in line with 5S
What you'll bring

- At least three years' relevant industry experience with punch and press machinery
