The Role
As a Statistical Returns Officer, youll focus on our revenues and benefits data, ensuring it is accurate, reliable and ready to drive data-driven decision making, policy development and performance monitoring.
Specifically, youll gather statistical information and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies and create clear reports whilst ensuring returns are accurate, complete and timely.
Keeping up with any new legislation, methodologies and data collection requirements, youll work closely with other departments to make sure our stats are always of a high standard and used effectively.
About You
To be considered as a Statistical Returns Officer, youll need:
– Experience of working in a Revenues and Benefits Service
– Experience of working with customer data
– Knowledge of the government returns required for completion
– The ability to lead and influence
– Expertise in data interpretation and visualisation
– The ability to manipulate complex data sets using a range of tools
– Knowledge of the statistical outputs within the Revenues and Benefits Service and other connected services
– Excellent accuracy and a reliable approach
A basic DBS check will be carried out for this post.
