We are now looking for a Resilience & Risk Officer to join our team on a part-time, permanent basis, working 22.5 hours per week.

The Role

As a Resilience & Risk Officer, you will help ensure we are prepared for, able to respond to, and recover from emergencies. Working closely with the Corporate Services Manager and the Data Protection & Resilience Manager, you will support emergency planning, resilience and business continuity across our services and with external partners.

You’ll advise senior leaders during incidents, support staff and volunteers on risk management, and help maintain compliance with civil contingencies, data protection and freedom of information requirements. You will also play a key role in co-ordinating training, communications and governance to strengthen organisational resilience.

Additionally, you will:

  • Maintain and review our corporate risk register and Risk Management Strategy
  • Support services to keep Service Continuity Plans, Privacy Notices, Data Retention Schedules and Risk Registers up to date
  • Organise emergency planning training and exercises
  • Advise event organisers on risk assessments and health and safety
  • Liaise with Communications colleagues to share timely warnings and public information
  • Prepare reports, briefings and statistical returns

About You

To be considered as a Resilience & Risk Officer, you will need:

  • The ability to provide support in an emergency response, planning and prioritising actions and supporting responding teams
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel
  • To be educated to GCSE level or above
  • To have undertaken relevant specialist training and/or qualifications, or be willing to do so
  • A willingness to work some evenings and weekends

A basic DBS check will be carried out for this post. The closing date for this role is 18th February 2026.
