We are now looking for a Housing Supply Officer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

The Role:
As a Housing Supply Officer, you will assist members of the public to access suitable housing and provide housing advice to support them to gain and sustain places to live. Supporting our Housing Register and Choice Based Lettings process, you will work as part of our Housing Services Team, offering information on the Housing Register, private rented accommodation, mutual exchange and low cost or shared ownership housing. Overseeing Housing Register applications from initial assessment through to re-housing, you will ensure applications are processed accurately, eligibility is assessed, and customers are correctly prioritised in line with our Housing Allocations Policy. You will also respond to Choice Based Lettings enquiries, assess medical and social welfare priority applications, and provide nominations to Registered Providers within agreed timescales.
Additionally, you will:
- Conduct office interviews, home visits and further enquiries where required
- Prepare reports for the Housing Panel
- Liaise with partner agencies, supported housing providers and the Sundry Debtors team
- Make referrals to relevant charities and support services
- Collect and report performance and statistical data
- Undertake electoral administration duties when required
About You:
To be considered as a Housing Supply Officer, you will need:
- Experience of working with members of the public, including dealing with customers in potentially stressful and emotive circumstances
- Experience of effective partnership working
- The ability to deal sensitively with members of the public and have a realistic understanding of the needs of customers needing housing assistance
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- To be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including Maths and English
- A full, valid driving licence and your own transport
A DBS check will be carried out for this post. The closing date for this role is Friday 7th August 2026. There will be a brief initial telephone interview followed by in-person interviews on 13th August 2026 at our offices in Rickmansworth.
