A warm and welcoming nursery in the Romney Marsh area is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join their team ASAP, working 3 days per week (Wednesday to Friday) until the end of the academic year in July as maternity cover. The nursery supports children aged 2 to 5 years and is looking for someone who can take ownership of planning in line with the EYFS curriculum, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
Nursery Teacher responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences aligned with the EYFS framework
- Support children aged 2 to 5 with their personal, social and emotional development
- Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Observe, assess and record progress to support next steps in learning
- Work closely with colleagues and parents to support each child's individual needs
Nursery Teacher requirements:
- Recent experience working in a Nursery or Early Years setting (essential)
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and child development
- Confident planning and delivering structured early years learning
- Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (preferred)
- Ability to drive or live locally strongly preferred (nursery is only on one bus route)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
