Three Business Partners is supporting a growing, award-winning UK apprenticeships provider that is strengthening its Business Administration provision and is now looking to appoint a Curriculum Lead. This is a hands-on role combining delivery with eventual curriculum ownership and is designed for someone who wants to build and shape a provision rather than inherit a finished structure. This opportunity will suit an ambitious practitioner who is motivated by progression and future management responsibility, not someone seeking a static senior delivery role.
The role involves delivering and assessing Business Administration apprenticeship standards while reviewing, refining, and taking ownership of curriculum resources and the overall delivery approach. You will ensure delivery aligns with ESFA funding rules, quality standards, and organisational values, and that learners receive a consistently high-quality experience. Alongside delivery, you will act as the lead tutor for Business Administration, taking responsibility for standards, consistency, and quality across the provision.
As the programme grows, the role will expand to include leading and developing the Business Administration curriculum, supporting and mentoring tutors and assessors, and contributing to the recruitment and onboarding of additional delivery staff. Over time, this role is intended to progress into a Curriculum Manager-level position, with increasing accountability for people, performance, and outcomes. The structure of the role allows for a deliberate transition from lead delivery into formal management, rather than expecting immediate people management from day one.
This role is designed for someone who wants to step into management, not simply hold a senior delivery title. Initially, the role operates as a lead-from-delivery position, with a strong emphasis on owning curriculum quality, setting standards, and leading by example. As the provision scales, there is a clear expectation that leadership responsibilities increase, including building and managing a delivery team and taking accountability for quality, performance, and results. Progression will be performance-led and based on capability, judgement, and appetite for responsibility. Candidates seeking a stable, delivery-only role without future management responsibility are unlikely to find this opportunity suitable.
Essential requirements:
- Applicants must hold a recognised Assessor qualification (D32/D33, A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent) and a teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, AET, CET or higher).
- Experience delivering Business Administration apprenticeship standards is essential, alongside a strong understanding of apprenticeship funding rules and off-the-job training requirements.
- You will need to demonstrate occupational competence within a Business Administration environment and be confident taking ownership and accountability for delivery quality.
Desirable experience:
- Experience leading or taking ownership of Business Administration curriculum.
- Exposure to quality management or standardisation activity.
- Experience supporting or managing tutors or assessors would be advantageous.
Package:
The salary for this role is £32,000–£36,000, dependent on experience and career progression to date. This is a hybrid role with a West Midlands base, with an expectation of being in the office a few days per week initially while you embed and shape the curriculum. Flexibility increases over time, typically to two days per week in the office. Most delivery is home-based, with occasional, planned travel for learner observations across London, Manchester, and Liverpool. This is a long-term opportunity with clear, performance-led progression as the provision grows. If you are interested in hearing more, please apply now.
