Leading Apprenticeships Provider
Three Business Partners is supporting a growing and award-winning UK apprenticeships provider that is strengthening its Business Administration provision and is now looking to appoint a Senior Business Administration Tutor / Assessor. This role is suited to an experienced tutor or assessor who is confident delivering Business Administration apprenticeships and is ready to take on greater ownership, responsibility, and progression over time. This is not a static delivery role and has been deliberately designed as a step-up opportunity for someone who wants to grow with the programme.
The role
You will deliver and assess Business Administration apprenticeship standards, manage a caseload of apprentices, and support learners through to timely progress and completion. The role involves conducting regular reviews, assessments, and teaching sessions on a one-to-one and group basis, working confidently within ESFA funding rules and off-the-job training requirements. A strong focus is placed on quality, compliance, learner experience, and the development of professional workplace skills. Alongside delivery, you will contribute to reviewing and improving curriculum content and delivery resources, support standardisation and quality activity, and act as a senior, dependable presence within the provision.
Future progression
This role is designed for someone who does not want to remain delivery-only long term. In the early months, the emphasis is on building credibility through high-quality delivery. As the programme grows, there is clear scope to step into a Curriculum Lead or Manager role, with increasing ownership of curriculum, quality, and the development of others. Candidates motivated by responsibility, accountability, and building something over time will thrive, while those seeking a purely delivery-focused role are unlikely to find this a good fit.
Essential requirements
Applicants must hold a recognised Assessor qualification (D32/D33, A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent) and a teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, AET, CET or higher). Experience delivering Business Administration apprenticeship standards is essential, alongside a strong understanding of apprenticeship funding rules and off-the-job training requirements. You will need to demonstrate occupational competence within a Business Administration environment and bring a confident, organised, and professional approach to delivery.
Desirable experience
Experience contributing to curriculum development or review, exposure to quality assurance or standardisation activity, and experience supporting or mentoring other tutors or assessors would be advantageous.
Package
The salary for this role is £30,000–£35,000, dependant upon experience and career progression up to this point. It is a hybrid role with a West Midlands base. There is an expectation of being in the office a few days a week initially while you embed and shape the curriculum, with flexibility increasing over time (typically 2 days per week in office). Most delivery is home-based, with occasional, planned travel for learner observations (London, Manchester, Liverpool). This is a great opportunity to join a supportive and growing organisation with clear progression intent.
