Three Bridges Recruitment are supporting an Edinburgh based charity with the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner. This is a key role working closely with senior operational leaders, where your financial insight and partnership approach will genuinely influence how services are planned and delivered. This role is well suited to a qualified accountant who enjoys working with people, shaping decisions, and bringing clarity to busy operational environments. You’ll play a key part in how services run day-to-day and ensure financial understanding sits at the heart of decision-making across Scotland.

Job
As Finance Business Partner, your work will include:
- Getting a clear understanding of your designated service area and supporting its strategic direction
- Working with Directors and Heads of Service to provide timely financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Leading the internal reporting process for your area, including actuals, forecasts and budgets
- Acting as the key link between operational teams and the central Finance function
- Contributing to business meetings, offering clear insight and helping keep decisions and timelines on track
- Working collaboratively with HR and Organisational Development Business Partners
- Supporting process improvement, communication and efficiency across the organisation
- Monitoring external financial developments and flagging their impact on service delivery
- Supporting funding applications and wider business activity when needed
- Preparing and presenting reports to senior groups, including Board Committees and the Corporate Management Team
You
As Finance Business Partner, you will bring:
- Fully Qualified Accountant
- Strong experience operating at this level, ideally with hands‑on business partnering
- The ability to explain financial information clearly to non‑finance colleagues
- A collaborative, empathetic approach, with the ability to influence and support others
- A practical, adaptable mindset suited to a less structured environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- The confidence to “roll up your sleeves” when needed
- Happy to travel
