Job
- Prepare annual accounts and tax computations for a portfolio of SME and OMB clients
- Prepare tax returns
- PAYE & CIS knowledge
- VAT returns if required
- Support junior team members with the development of their technical skills
- Review accounts and tax work prepared by junior staff
- Manage a portfolio of clients across diverse sectors, including farming, construction, and hospitality, to deliver work to high standards and to timescales
- Be the client’s first point of contact on day-to-day queries
- Travel to client sites occasionally
You
- At least 3 years’ experience in accountancy practice (SME or general practice environment)
- Comfortable preparing accounts and handling tax matters for varied industries
- Strong working knowledge of IRIS, Xero, Sage, and Microsoft Excel
- Confident communicating directly with clients and providing advice
- Able to manage your workload independently and accurately
- No specific qualification required – open to QBE, part-qualified, or fully qualified individuals
