Accounts Senior – Progression to Partner

Location: Stirling

Salary: £40,000+ depending on experience

Job

  • Prepare annual accounts and tax computations for a portfolio of SME and OMB clients
  • Prepare tax returns
  • PAYE & CIS knowledge
  • VAT returns if required
  • Support junior team members with the development of their technical skills
  • Review accounts and tax work prepared by junior staff
  • Manage a portfolio of clients across diverse sectors, including farming, construction, and hospitality, to deliver work to high standards and to timescales
  • Be the client’s first point of contact on day-to-day queries
  • Travel to client sites occasionally

You

  • At least 3 years’ experience in accountancy practice (SME or general practice environment)
  • Comfortable preparing accounts and handling tax matters for varied industries
  • Strong working knowledge of IRIS, Xero, Sage, and Microsoft Excel
  • Confident communicating directly with clients and providing advice
  • Able to manage your workload independently and accurately
  • No specific qualification required – open to QBE, part-qualified, or fully qualified individuals
