Job
The role of Accounting Manager will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records
- Leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts in line with reporting deadlines
- Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journals
- Acting as the key contact for external auditors and managing the audit process
- Supervising and developing a team of management accountants, finance officers, and assistants
- Maintaining and strengthening internal controls and accounting policies
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with FP&A
- Driving process improvements and supporting finance systems optimisation initiatives
You
As Accounting Manager, you will be skilled and or qualified in the following:
- Fully qualified accountant
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP
- Proven experience managing and developing finance teams
- Hands-on experience with month-end and financial reporting processes
- Experience with accounting systems such as Agresso or Sage
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience in process improvement or systems implementation is advantageous
- Ability to operate effectively in a changing and evolving environment
