Job

The role of Accounting Manager will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records
  • Leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Preparing and reviewing management accounts in line with reporting deadlines
  • Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journals
  • Acting as the key contact for external auditors and managing the audit process
  • Supervising and developing a team of management accountants, finance officers, and assistants
  • Maintaining and strengthening internal controls and accounting policies
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with FP&A
  • Driving process improvements and supporting finance systems optimisation initiatives

You

As Accounting Manager, you will be skilled and or qualified in the following:

  • Fully qualified accountant
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP
  • Proven experience managing and developing finance teams
  • Hands-on experience with month-end and financial reporting processes
  • Experience with accounting systems such as Agresso or Sage
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience in process improvement or systems implementation is advantageous
  • Ability to operate effectively in a changing and evolving environment
