Are you ready to help enable the future of payments? We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Technology Business Operations to join our Technology team. The Senior Manager, Technology Business Operations will be responsible for leading business operations and execution across the Technology organisation, turning strategy into delivery and helping to ensure the team builds the future of payments products.

You’ll be at the heart of day‑to‑day operational, prioritisation and resourcing decisions within Technology. Working closely with the CTO you will help ensure the smooth running of and support for the Technology department.

What you’ll be doing as a Senior Manager, Technology Business Operations:

  • Design and implement scalable operational processes to drive high performance, agility, and cost effectiveness across the Technology organisation.
  • Accountable for Technology budget management and financial planning, partnering with Finance to actively govern expenditure, headcount, and vendor spend against delivery priorities. Including leading on resource allocation initiatives for external resources.
  • Partner with the CTO to define and operationalise the strategic direction of the Technology function, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
  • Own the operating rhythm of the Technology function, including delivery cadence, workforce operations, and internal communications.
  • Accountable for cross‑functional execution outcomes across the Technology organisation, ensuring initiatives are aligned to organisational objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Act as the primary operational interface between the Technology organisation and ExCo/Board forums, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and confidence in Technology reporting and execution.
  • Own vendor management for third‑party engineering partners, including SLA governance, performance management, monthly reviews, and budget adherence. Defines and enforces vendor governance frameworks to ensure commercial discipline, delivery quality, and alignment with Technology priorities.

What you’ll bring to the Senior Manager, Technology Business Operations:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to diverse audiences. Including communicating at Senior and Board level.
  • Strategic thinking and problem‑solving capabilities, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Experience working in a Payments or Fintech background.
  • Preferably experience working as Business Operations Manager or Chief of Staff within a Technology function. Owning and managing budgets within these roles.
  • Highly proactive with a strong instinct for identifying and filling operational gaps.
  • Involvement in onboarding, off‑boarding, and team pastoral support.
  • Must have strong analytical and reporting skills, preferably, with an understanding of DORA and SPACE metrics. Ideally possessing Jira expertise, with experience producing delivery and performance reporting.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including preparation of executive‑level decks.
  • Previously supported or owned governance, reporting, and strategic narrative review. Experience coordinating delivery rituals (e.g. stand‑ups, planning, reviews).
  • Proven experience supporting cross‑functional technology and delivery teams.

Where you’ll work:

Our working model varies depending on the specific role and team requirements. We strive to provide flexibility whilst ensuring that each position is best supported for optimal collaboration and performance. For this position we’d ideally require you to be in the London office (Holborn) once a month minimum. You’re more than welcome to come in more frequently.
