About the role

We’re hiring a Backend Engineer to work on the core platform that powers ThreatAware — and this is one of the most exciting times to join. We’re building AI-powered capabilities on top of six years of real cyber asset data, and you’ll be right in the middle of it. Your code will power a product that some of the world’s biggest organisations rely on to stay secure. If you want to work on hard problems that matter, ship things that people actually use, and be part of a team that’s genuinely changing how cybersecurity works, this is the role.

Why ThreatAware?

ThreatAware gives security teams a single source of truth for every device and tool in their organisation. 150+ integrations, deploys in under 30 minutes, real-time visibility across entire IT estates. Finance, legal, energy, healthcare — they trust us to show them what’s protected and what isn’t. Now we’re building something bigger. Six years of accurate cyber asset data, and we’re layering AI on top of it — new ways for security teams to interrogate their data, automate workflows, and act on risk before it becomes a problem. You’ll help build the platform that makes it all possible.

What you’ll do

  • Work on the platform and the AI — there’s no shortage of interesting problems here.
  • Build and maintain C#/.NET backend services — reliable, scalable, and secure.
  • Contribute to the AI-powered capabilities we’re building — working with TypeScript and LLMs to deliver intelligent workflows.
  • Optimise APIs and database performance across our multi-tenant AWS infrastructure.
  • Write well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to architectural discussions and design reviews.

What we’re looking for

  • Solid C#/.NET experience with a track record of building backend services.
  • Good understanding of RESTful API design and relational database fundamentals.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Curious and motivated — you want to learn, grow, and take on more ownership over time.
  • Security at the heart of how you think about building software.
