The Senior UK Product Manager plays a critical role in delivering the Product Change and Development agenda for the UK market. This includes leading product change initiatives across existing funds, as well as the design and launch of new products, working in close collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver strong customer outcomes and commercial success.
How you'll spend your time:
- Lead in the research, design, development and launch of new funds/products for the UK market.
- Ensuring product design meets the needs of defined target markets and segments.
- Preparation of product ideas, including business cases and proposals and presentation to relevant committees and boards.
- Managing a range of predominantly UK domiciled pooled investment fund products throughout the post-launch lifecycle, ensuring robust regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and clear customer outcomes.
- Manage and lead product change initiatives across the product lifecycle, such as changes to product features, including investment objectives and policies, fees and charges and fund closures and mergers.
- Lead cross‐functional working groups on larger or more complex initiatives, managing stakeholder expectations and delivering against agreed budgets and timelines.
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments and address regulatory and industry change that impacts product design and features on new and existing products.
- Respond to internal product queries and provide subject‐matter expertise on fund features, regulatory considerations and product changes.
- Key contributor to the Product Implementation Working Group, ensuring effective communication of the product change agenda; enabling changes to existing products to be understood and managed by stakeholders across the business in a timely way.
- Member of the Fund Pricing and Dealing Committee and leader of the Fund Naming Advisory Group and Risk Matrix Working Group, working to provide a sharp focus on fair treatment of customers (TCF) and Consumer Duty.
- Coach and support junior team members, providing guidance and oversight in their delivery of product change and development initiatives.
- Act as an alternate representative for the Director of UK Product Change & Development on relevant committees and working groups, as required.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience in product management and product development within asset management.
- Strong knowledge of the UK regulatory environment, including the UCITS, Non‐UCITS and AIFM framework.
- A thorough understanding of how investment products are designed, launched and managed through the full product lifecycle to meet the needs of distinct client segments and target markets.
- Knowledge of and experience implementing regulatory change projects.
- Excellent leadership and influencing skills: with the ability to present recommendations with clarity and conviction; chair effective meetings and build consensus.
- Team skills and the ability to engage and influence colleagues in the team and across the business.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently and deliver to deadlines.
- Highly numerate and analytical, with ability to produce business cases and proposals for committees and boards.
It would be great if you also had:
- Knowledge and experience of Sustainable/Responsible investment frameworks and the FCA's Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR) and / or similar experience of European SFDR.
- Knowledge of Pension/Life/Investment Trust products and wrappers is an advantage.
- Possession of a relevant investment‐related qualification, e.g. IMC or equivalent.
