Job Description

Where you’ll fit in & what our team goals are… Working as part of EMEA Treasury and Global Treasury Operations team, your primarily focused on the supervision of day-to-day cash management and funding of Columbia Threadneedle’s international business and regulated entities; you will ensure that the firm can meet its payment obligations on-time, remain above minimum liquidity requirements and optimise returns on its liquid asset investments. Key tasks will include processing time-critical domestic and international payments in various forms and across multi-currencies, undertaking liquidity forecasting and cash management (incl. FX hedging), whilst ensuring daily compliance with risk limits, both in line with Enterprise Policy and Local Regulatory standards. As required, the role will also support special projects across the Strategic Liquidity book of work.

We are looking for highly motivated and intellectually curious candidates, with a track record of delivering success, both individually and as part of high performing teams. You will ideally have experience working in global teams, building effective relationships with leaders and peers based outside of their location, in the delivery of Treasury Operations or a similar function.

How you'll spend your time...

  • Coordinate and analyse daily cash activity, cash flow reconciliations, and cash forecasting for all corporate bank accounts by monitoring electronic files and business partner requests.
  • Ensure that established compliance procedures and controls are being completed.
  • Review and process all outgoing cash transfers to ensure timely and accurate distribution.
  • Connect with internal and external business partners on inquiries, issues, and advanced requests.
  • Cross-train for all related cash management functions to serve as an effective backup to the team as needed.
  • Participate in both departmental (business continuity process and disaster recovery exercises, system upgrades) as well as corporate projects as needed.
  • Review current processes with a view to automate.

To be successful in this role you will have...

  • Established experience in a similar role within Treasure or Finance Operations.
  • Intellectually curious, prepared to understand why processes operate the way they do and how they combine to deliver on key outcomes for the firm.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient technical skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access and Word).
  • Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills to deal effectively with business partners and support a high performing team.
  • Demonstrable ability to work within a Global team environment.
