Job Description
Where you’ll fit in & what our team goals are… As an Associate Client Manager within the UK & Irish LDI Client Management team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to a portfolio of institutional pension scheme clients invested in Liability Driven Investment (LDI) solutions.
Working closely with Client Managers, Relationship Managers, Client Directors, Portfolio Managers and operational teams, you will support the day-to-day management of client relationships, helping to ensure client requirements are met accurately, efficiently and in accordance with regulatory and internal standards.
The role provides exposure to a broad range of client servicing activities including client onboarding, cash and collateral management events, mandate changes, agreement reviews, transitions, client reporting and ongoing relationship support.
You will also provide cover for Client Manager activities across the team as required.
- How you’ll spend your time…
- Client Relationship Support - Act as a primary point of contact for a portfolio of UK and Irish LDI clients, with support from senior members of the team where appropriate.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, investment consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high standard of client experience.
- Participate in client meetings, trustee meetings and service review meetings where appropriate.
- Support the preparation of meeting materials, presentations and follow-up actions.
- Client Instructions & Transaction Management - Assist in drafting, reviewing and coordinating client instructions relating to: Cash transfers and cash movements, LDI portfolio transactions, Fund switches and rebalancing events, Collateral management activities, Mandate and account changes.
- Coordinate with Portfolio Managers, Trading, Operations, Legal, Client Change and other internal teams to ensure accurate execution of client requests.
- Maintain clear audit trails and ensure all instructions are completed in accordance with internal policies and client agreements.
- Ongoing Client Management - Support onboarding activities for new mandates and additional account openings.
- Assist with agreement amendments, fee changes and client documentation requirements.
- Monitor service levels and help resolve operational issues impacting clients.
- Support periodic client reviews, reporting cycles and regulatory communication requirements.
- Maintain accurate client records across internal systems.
- Team Cover & Collaboration - Provide Client Manager cover during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of service for clients.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the UK, Ireland and offshore support teams.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, process documentation and training activities.
- Support business continuity arrangements and workload management across the wider Client Management team.
- Process Improvement - Proactively identify opportunities to improve client servicing processes and controls.
- Support strategic initiatives, automation projects and operational efficiency programmes.
- Leverage technology solutions, including Copilot and Salesforce, to enhance productivity and client outcomes.
- To be successful in this role you will have…
- Experience within institutional asset management, pensions, investment operations or client servicing.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
