Van Driver in London

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both warehouse staff and clients.

Duties

Operate a van to deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner.

Load and unload cargo, ensuring that items are secured properly for transport.

Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.

Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.

Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues when necessary.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving license with a clean driving record.

Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is preferred.

Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is advantageous but not essential.

Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.

Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Physical capability to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
