We are seeking a Mixed Tax Manager to support the client directors in delivering technically excellent tax advice to a range of corporate and personal tax clients, developing and maintaining strong relationships to create new business opportunities. This is a mixed tax role with a bias towards corporate tax.
Key responsibilities:- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters and providing proactive tax advice.
- Deliver tax planning initiatives for corporate clients to minimise tax liabilities and optimise tax efficiency, including R & D, employee share schemes and EIS/SEIS applications/implementation.
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work and adherence to deadlines.
- Be a point of contact for internal ad hoc tax queries across all four locations.
- Prepare and review corporate and personal tax returns, including supporting schedules and computations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare Capital Allowances reports/analysis for our audit clients.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations based on findings to clients and colleagues, including report writing when required.
- Deal with HMRC in relation to enquiries in a professional manner, negotiating where relevant and liaising between HMRC and the client.
- Review other team members’ work and support and train when required.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.
- Experience of corporate and personal tax within an accountancy practice.
- Knowledge of property tax an advantage.
