Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of digital products from ideation and concept through to iterative development, working in parallel with product and business strategists, technical specialists, and client partners.
- Ensure quality across product touchpoints through consistent and attractive visual design guidelines, accessible design system components, and an adherence to best practice UX and interaction design principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, developing a shared understanding of user and customer jobs, journeys, and needs through research, testing, and synthesis, and ensure that product design principles continuously evolve to meet these needs.
- Be the primary bridge between design, technology, and business teams, ensuring your vision is seamlessly executed in collaboration with developers and other stakeholders.
- Champion the continuous improvement of design practices by mentoring your team, facilitating knowledge sharing, and running workshops or feedback sessions.
- Actively engage and bring thought leadership and best practices to Thoughtworks and our client’s design practice.
Job Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Rich experience designing digital products and interface solutions from scoping and concept through to scalable delivery.
- Strong foundations in user experience and interaction design principles and heuristics, including an applied understanding of information architecture.
- Exceptional visual design skills with a strong eye for detail in colour, layout, typography, and motion.
- Experience creating programme-wide design guidelines, and collaborating with design and development partners on modular design system components.
- Comfortable with trial and error, embracing feedback, and using prototyping to explore new ideas.
- Expertise in working closely with business and tech teams to bring real-world design solutions to life.
- Good overall understanding of the various aspects of design discipline that contributes to building impactful products.
