As the Manager of Solution Engineering at ThoughtSpot, you’ll lead a team of high‑performing Sales Engineers focused on driving value for customers across the EMEA region. Your mission is to empower your team to deliver compelling technical evaluations, guide strategic sales cycles, and help customers realize the full potential of ThoughtSpot’s AI‑powered Modern Analytics Cloud. This is a highly visible leadership role that bridges the gap between Sales, Product, and Customer Success — ensuring customers receive both strategic and hands‑on support throughout their journey with ThoughtSpot.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Solution Engineers supporting customers across EMEA spanning a wide range of industries and use cases.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to define go‑to‑market strategies, regional coverage, and customer engagement models.
  • Ensure your team delivers compelling, value‑driven demos and technical validations (POVs, POCs, pilots) that showcase ThoughtSpot’s differentiated AI and analytics capabilities.
  • Roll up your sleeves and get hands‑on with your team when needed, providing technical guidance and direct support on complex customer engagements and technical evaluations.
  • Drive team excellence in discovery, storytelling, and objection handling tailored to diverse customer needs and regional market dynamics.
  • Help customers understand how AI‑powered analytics, natural language querying, and intelligent automation can accelerate decision‑making and unlock business value.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Support to bring customer insights back into the business and influence product innovation.
  • Stay current on emerging trends across AI, generative AI, cloud data platforms, and modern analytics technologies to position your team as trusted technical advisors.
  • Leverage AI‑driven tools and insights to improve demo personalization, customer engagement strategies, and technical validation processes.
  • Encourage experimentation and adoption of emerging technologies such as conversational AI, autonomous agents, predictive analytics, and AI‑assisted solution engineering workflows.
  • Help recruit and onboard top SE talent, while fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
  • Analyze and optimize team performance using KPIs and metrics to improve impact across the sales funnel.
What You Bring:
  • 5+ years of experience in Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Pre‑Sales, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or team lead role.
  • Experience supporting or managing teams across EMEA, ideally within a high‑growth SaaS, AI, or data/analytics environment.
  • Deep understanding of analytics, BI, AI/ML concepts, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern data architectures (data warehouses, data lakes, etc.).
  • Proven ability to coach teams through complex sales cycles, technical evaluations, and executive‑level customer presentations.
  • Familiarity with AI‑powered analytics platforms and modern data technologies, including tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or Looker.
  • Strong understanding of how organizations are leveraging generative AI and intelligent automation to modernize analytics and decision‑making workflows.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functionally and translate complex technical concepts into business value.
  • A strong customer‑first mindset and passion for enabling organizations through data and AI.
  • Hands‑on experience with SQL, data modeling techniques, and/or scripting languages.
