As a Managing Consultant , you will play a pivotal role in driving TPC’s success. Leveraging your extensive consulting and industry experience, leadership skills, and commercial acumen, you will guide teams and clients through transformative strategies that deliver measurable and lasting results. You will also play a critical role in expanding TPC’s client base by identifying, developing, and nurturing new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients. Role and Responsibilities Leadership and Thought Leadership Lead project teams to deliver high-quality, innovative, and actionable solutions for retail challenges in Planning, Pricing, Analytics, and Digital Transformation. Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, building strong and strategic relationships with executive leadership. Contribute to TPC’s industry presence by authoring white papers, delivering presentations, or participating in panels to showcase thought leadership in retail consulting. Mentor, inspire, and develop junior team members to foster growth, engagement, and excellence. Client Engagement and Delivery Drive the delivery of high-quality consulting services that enable clients to achieve and sustain long-term growth. Conduct and lead workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather client requirements and assess as-is and to-be business states. Analyse and document business capabilities to develop holistic solutions encompassing operations, processes, people, and technology. Create compelling reports, presentations, and insights to communicate findings and recommendations to executives and project leadership. Business Development Identify opportunities to expand TPC’s footprint by proactively engaging with existing and potential clients to propose innovative solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to develop client proposals and pitches, showcasing TPC’s proven methodologies and value proposition. Support revenue growth by fostering long-term client relationships and leveraging networks for new opportunities. Operational and Strategic Expertise Conduct industry, competitor, and company analysis (strategic, financial, operational) for benchmarking and crafting client-specific recommendations. Contribute to TPC’s internal product and service development roadmap by generating innovative ideas and industry insights. Provide strategic oversight on systems architecture and high-level technology integrations in retail environments. Skills and Experience Essential: Experience and Expertise 7+ years of experience in retail consulting or a combination of consulting and industry experience in merchandising, planning, pricing, or digital transformation. Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver complex solutions to high-profile clients. Proven success in line management and the development of diverse teams. Analytical and Technical Skills Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesise complex information and approach challenges methodically. Strong analytical capabilities and comfort with large data sets. Understanding of primary systems and high-level systems architecture in retail environments. Commercial and Leadership Acumen Strong commercial skills, including the ability to identify and secure new business opportunities. Ability to motivate, inspire, and positively influence cross-functional teams. High personal motivation, presence, and energy with a natural ability to build rapport and confidence with senior stakeholders. Communication and Organisation Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex ideas and solutions. Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with an eye for detail and quality. Ideal: Strong knowledge of key retail verticals and supply chain processes. Experience working with major software implementations or technology integrations in retail. Background in contributing to or leading thought leadership initiatives within the retail or consulting space.
