Engineering Manager in London

Responsibilities

• Working closely with Product Management and Client Services to define and deliver our product roadmap.
• Actively participating in technical discussions and design reviews.
• Measuring your team's impact.
• Contributing to product strategy.
• Contributing to engineering-wide initiatives such as recruitment and team processes.
• Developing engineers in your team and supporting their career development.
• Leading by example through code reviews and hands‐on technical work.

Essential Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering management experience leading product‐aligned teams.
• Experience working in cloud‐native environments using modern technology stacks similar to microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS/GCP, Golang/Python.
• A technical background that enables you to drive technical decisions and strong interpersonal skills to communicate with Product Managers and client representatives.
• Comfortable wearing different Engineering Manager hats that suit the changing needs of a team as it evolves.

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge of banking/finance.
• Interest in working on client‐facing projects, conducting scoping and defining deliverables.
• Experience recruiting and shaping engineering teams.
• Experience defining and evaluating effective team processes.
• Experience working in a hypergrowth environment.
