Responsibilities
- Working closely with Product Management and Client Services to define and deliver our product roadmap.
- Actively participating in technical discussions and design reviews.
- Measuring your team's impact.
- Contributing to product strategy.
- Contributing to engineering-wide initiatives such as recruitment and team processes.
- Developing engineers in your team and supporting their career development.
- Leading by example through code reviews and handsâon technical work.
Essential Qualifications
- 2+ years of engineering management experience leading productâaligned teams.
- Experience working in cloudânative environments using modern technology stacks similar to microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS/GCP, Golang/Python.
- A technical background that enables you to drive technical decisions and strong interpersonal skills to communicate with Product Managers and client representatives.
- Comfortable wearing different Engineering Manager hats that suit the changing needs of a team as it evolves.
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of banking/finance.
- Interest in working on clientâfacing projects, conducting scoping and defining deliverables.
- Experience recruiting and shaping engineering teams.
- Experience defining and evaluating effective team processes.
