We are looking for a confident and proactive HR Advisor to join our HR Business Partnering team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role will provide key support across the employee lifecycle and act as a critical link between our HRBPs and People Operations Coordinators. It’s a great opportunity for someone with solid generalist HR experience who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to get things done.
Duties
- Business Partnering Support
- Support HRBPs in delivering key people initiatives and partnering with business managers.
- Prepare documentation and gather insights ahead of employee relations and performance discussions.
- Support cyclical HR activities (e.g. performance reviews, promotions, engagement surveys) across business areas.
- Draft letters, and templates for HRBPs and ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant.
- Coordinate exit processes including scheduling, documentation, and tracking of themes.
- Employee Relations and Advisory
- Provide first-line advice and guidance to managers on HR policies and employment law, escalating complex matters where needed.
- Track and manage absence, performance, and probation cases, ensuring process compliance and follow-up actions.
- Support with note-taking in ER meetings where required, maintaining discretion and professionalism.
- Monitor case trends and flag issues or hotspots proactively to the Lead HRBP.
- Data, Systems & Compliance
- Ensure HRIS (Workday) records are accurate and up to date, including tracking changes, terminations, and contract amendments.
- Support the team in compiling reports and insights from people data to inform decision-making.
- Ensure documentation and actions are audit-ready and legally compliant.
- Collaborate with People Operations to maintain strong data quality and handover on transactional activities.
- Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support the delivery of people-related projects across the business (e.g. onboarding redesign, policy updates, change management).
- Contribute to process improvement by identifying areas of inefficiency and helping to implement solutions.
- Champion consistency and high-quality service by maintaining templates, toolkits, and manager guidance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a generalist HR or HR Advisor role, ideally within a scaling or global environment.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Comfortable working with HR systems (Workday experience desirable) and handling data.
- A problem-solver with a proactive mindset and a collaborative working style.
- Experience working in tech or high-growth companies.
- Familiarity with HR reporting or analytics.
- Exposure to international employment law or global HR operations.
