We’re looking for a motivated and guest‑focused VIP & Events Lead to help deliver exceptional, memorable experiences for our VIP guests at Thorpe Park. This role combines both front-line and back-of-house responsibilities, ensuring our VIP products, events, and experience packages run smoothly from booking to visit completion. You’ll act as a key point of contact for guests, support the delivery of our VIP offerings, and regularly step into the VIP Duty Manager role. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our premium experience products while upholding high standards of safety, guest service, and team engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations: Deliver seamless VIP journeys from booking through to on‑park experience. Host and deliver premium products including Coaster Climbs, Backstage Tours, VIP Entry Packages and Corporate Events. Communicate with guests by email and phone, managing bookings, enquiries, and daily scheduling. Maintain VIP areas and ensure all set‑ups are completed ahead of guest arrival. Support daily operations, stock checks, and admin tasks as needed. Act as VIP Duty Manager when required and support staffing levels in line with business needs. Identify operational improvements and propose solutions.
- Sales & Customer Experience: Act as a brand ambassador for VIP products, confidently upselling where appropriate. Support the department in achieving sales targets and positive guest feedback. Maintain strong knowledge of all VIP and event products.
- People & Team Support: Build strong rapport with guests and colleagues. Support with team coaching, engagement activities, and maintaining high presentation standards. Ensure all training, records, and People Portal documentation are up to date.
- Health & Safety: Follow and promote all Health & Safety policies and safe working practices. Complete safety checks, paperwork, and due diligence tasks within required timeframes. Support routine inspections and emergency procedure reviews.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Applicants must be confident working at height and able to safely participate in Coaster Climb activities as an essential requirement of the role.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to take ownership of tasks.
- Good working knowledge of basic IT programmes.
- Previous people‑leading experience beneficial but not essential.
- Strong park knowledge or willingness to learn quickly.
- MUST be 18 or over.
