Join a business specialising in late-life asset management and decommissioning, supporting contract and supply chain activity across project scopes and working closely with engineering and operational teams on delivery. The role focuses on leading tendering, evaluation and negotiation of contracts for operational, logistics and supporting services, alongside contractor performance management and ongoing commercial input to support delivery and cost management. Hybrid working is available (4 days in the office, 1 from home).
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing contracting approaches to support project delivery requirements.
- Preparing ITT packages and managing tender processes from issue through to evaluation.
- Carrying out commercial and contractual assessment of tenders, including risk considerations.
- Leading negotiations and contribute to contract award decisions.
- Managing contracts through the full lifecycle, from award to close-out.
- Overseeing contractor performance, including KPI tracking and reviewing discussions.
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency and service delivery.
- Preparing and managing contract documentation, including amendments and variations.
- Providing commercial guidance to stakeholders across the business.
- Supporting resolution of contractual issues where required.
- Working with engineering teams to support cost tracking, commitments and variations.
- Coordinating with materials teams to ensure services and supplies are in place.
About You:
- Proven experience in a contracts-focused role within oil and gas.
- Experience managing tender processes, including preparation and evaluation activities.
- Strong understanding of contract negotiation and contract lifecycle management.
- Experience overseeing contractor or supplier performance.
- Commercial awareness, with the ability to manage cost and risk.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage across teams and with suppliers.
- Able to work effectively with both internal teams and external suppliers.
- Understanding of well operations or decommissioning activity would be advantageous.
