A permanent opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a global manufacturing and engineering organisation based in Peterhead.
Hybrid and flexible working are available.
The successful individual will take ownership of the management accounts process, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
With a growing Finance Team locally, this position offers genuine scope to shape processes, add value and make the role your own as the business continues to expand.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, duties include
- Monitoring budgets within finance systems, reporting variances, and ensuring compliance with local financial regulations.
- Implementing and maintaining the global control framework, supporting robust financial controls.
- Collating and analysing data using standard accounting methods to deliver high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Preparing key financial documents, including statutory accounts, management accounts, monthly balance sheets, budgeting, and reforecasting.
- Participating in and support the month-end accounting cycle and associated Board reporting.
- Ensuring statutory and compliance obligations are met, providing assurance on accurate accounting records.
- Supporting colleagues in maximising data management systems and provide guidance on complex processes.
- Producing non-standard analyses, reports, and improvement project data as required.
- Contributing to financial policies, ensuring consistent application and compliance across the business.
- Identifying and addressing non-compliance with policies, regulations, or codes of conduct.
- Providing ad hoc analysis to support business initiatives.
The organisation is seeking a candidate with experience in a similar role, ideally within manufacturing or oil and gas.
Both fully qualified professionals and those qualified by experience will be considered.
