An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a growing, globally active oil services organisation as Group Management Accountant.

This is a broad, high-profile position offering significant exposure across the business, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller and partnering closely with senior leadership, regional finance teams and operational stakeholders worldwide.

As Group Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the monthly reporting cycle and play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely and insightful financial information across the business.

Key responsibilities include

  • Preparing monthly management accounts within tight reporting deadlines.
  • Delivering detailed variance analysis (actual vs budget vs forecast) with clear commentary.
  • Managing the ledgers and ensuring timely production of trial balances and financial statements.
  • Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Producing rolling 10-week cashflow forecasts.
  • Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Submitting VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Supporting the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors.
  • Strengthening and maintaining a robust internal control environment.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior finance colleagues.

You will also contribute to monitoring and reporting on the operational performance and financial return of key asset portfolios.

The ideal applicant will be working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and hold a degree in Accounting or Finance.

You will bring

  • Experience within a subsidiary of an international group.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
  • Proven experience delivering accurate month-end reporting under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent Excel skills and strong experience with accounting systems.
  • The ability to analyse complex financial data and communicate insights clearly.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
  • You will be highly organised, analytical and detail-focused, with the confidence to influence stakeholders and challenge where appropriate.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities is essential.
