A new opportunity has arisen within an established Accountancy Firm for an Accounts Assistant to manage client accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT processes for a range of clients of varying sizes.
The role involves preparing and reviewing accounts, maintaining accurate financial records, and liaising confidently with clients and colleagues to meet deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Managing bookkeeping and VAT processes for a range of clients, using industry-standard accounting software.
- Maintaining comprehensive and accurate financial records, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Collaborating with colleagues to meet deadlines and deliver high‑quality client work.
- Liaising directly with clients to provide support and address accounting queries professionally.
- Contributing to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the team.
- Handling multiple client accounts with autonomy and accountability, demonstrating reliability in delivery.

- Proven experience in accounting, ideally within a practice environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and bookkeeping processes.
