We\'re recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering firm for a Workshop Foreman to support day-to-day operations across 12 workshop teams. This hands-on role suits someone with fabrication or welding experience who thrives on the shop floor, ensuring projects stay on track, meet quality standards, and run efficiently.
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Workshop Foreman to support team leads and keep operations running smoothly across our 12 fabrication and welding teams. This is a hands-on role based on the shop floor — perfect for someone who thrives in a busy workshop environment and enjoys being at the heart of the action.
Working closely with the Operations Planner and QA/QC team, you’ll help ensure jobs are delivered on time, to specification, and with the high level of quality.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Supporting daily operations across multiple workshop teams.
- Working with team leads to keep projects on track and aligned with deadlines.
- Making sure work instructions are followed correctly across all areas.
- Reporting progress, updates, and any issues to the Operations Planner.
- Liaising with QA/QC to assist with quality checks and inspections.
- Ensuring standards, specifications, and timelines are consistently met.
- Promoting and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment.
