Currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer on a permanent staff basis for a global energy service company based in Kintore, Aberdeenshire.
The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in delivering world–class engineering solutions within the global Wireline Systems and Wellhead Pressure Control Equipment Team.
The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems using advanced CAE tools across all phases of the project lifecycle (from proposals to completion).
- Innovating, designing, and developing customised, customer–centric electrical solutions using advanced CAE tools.
- Leading and executing design projects, including cost estimates, validation, and compliance documentation, ensuring delivery within budget and to client specifications.
- Providing expert technical support across departments and regions, including on–site installation, testing, and at global client meetings.
Experience/Qualifications:
- A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline, would be preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar Senior Electrical Design Engineer type role, directly within the North Sea Oil and Gas industry, is essential.
- Applicants should have experience with hydraulic, pneumatic or electromechanical systems.
- Proficiency with CAE tools is essential, as is experience of working with engineering documentation standards.
- Applicants should have knowledge of manufacture technologies and design for manufacturability.
