Overview
Currently recruiting for an ROV Technical Support on a contract basis for a subsea company based in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen. It is an ongoing long-term contract position, and the company are only considering PAYE contractors for this particular role. This role would suit an experienced offshore ROV Pilot/Maintenance Technician or an onshore ROV Workshop/Tooling Technician who is keen to transition into a more office-based support position.
Responsibilities
The ROV Technical Support will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
- Providing technical and operational support to ROV systems.
- Carrying out support activities related to loading out of ROV systems, checking and preparing workshop spares, preparing inventories, and system pre-mob checks.
- Coordinating re-certification activities for the ROV systems and spare parts shipments to ROV systems offshore.
- Processing received offshore MRs and assisting with expediting as required, including clarification on part queries.
- Monitoring receipt of ROV maintenance and technical reports and reviewing/actioning any issues identified.
- Ensuring all ROV critical spares checks are conducted and that shortfalls are actioned in a timely manner.
- Processing and following up actions related to Damage/Malfunction/Failure (DMF) reports that are received from the ROV systems.
Experience/Qualifications
- An Engineering degree or HNC/HND qualification would be preferred.
- Previous experience in either an offshore ROV Pilot/Maintenance Technician type role, or onshore experience in an ROV Workshop/Tooling Technician type role, is essential.
- Applicants should have knowledge of ROV systems, as well as ROV asset experience.
- Experience with mechanical and hydraulic equipment refurbishments would be preferred.
