Overview
A progressive business advisory firm is seeking an experienced Mixed Tax Manager/Senior Manager to join their dynamic Business Advisory Team. This role offers a blend of compliance and advisory work, providing a high level of client exposure across corporate and personal tax matters, with responsibility for managing your own client portfolio.
The Role
As a Mixed Tax Manager/Senior Manager, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will oversee compliance, provide advisory support, and identify planning opportunities, while managing and developing a team of tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing annual tax return compliance for companies and individuals.
- Providing advice on corporate tax planning, tax‑efficient remuneration, succession planning, CGT, and benefits in kind.
- Identifying and advising on other relevant taxes, including VAT, International Taxes, LBTT, and Stamp Duty.
- Delegating work effectively and reviewing outputs to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Coordinating compliance across multiple teams and locations, ensuring seamless client service.
- Preparing proposals for new clients, including quoting and onboarding.
- Engaging with client networks and internal teams to deliver comprehensive service solutions.
- Contributing to thought leadership through blogs, technical articles, and presentations.
About You
- Professionally qualified (CA, ATT, CTA) with relevant tax experience.
- Proven track record in both compliance and advisory work.
- Experience managing a team and overseeing a client portfolio.
- Strong client engagement skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with Alphatax and CCH.
- Confident, proactive, and able to provide strategic tax advice.
