Management Accountant – VR/31556

Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a well-established business with a strong presence in Aberdeen. This is a 6-12 month contract starting ASAP.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing timely and accurate management accounts, statutory accounts and departmental reporting.
• Managing the month-end process, reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
• Overseeing accounts payable processes, including payment runs and GRNI write-offs.
• Maintaining fixed asset registers and ensuring accurate reporting of expenses and credit cards.
• Supporting compliance requirements, liaising with auditors, tax advisers and regulatory bodies.
• Providing cost analysis and commercial insights to support decision making across the business.
• Contributing to projects including systems improvements, stock and debt provisioning.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Qualified (or nearing qualification) in CIMA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent, or qualified by experience.
• Experienced in finance and accounts, ideally with exposure to accounts payable and month-end processes.
• Confident with ERP systems and Excel, with a strong eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
• A strong communicator with the ability to work across teams and build commercial awareness within the business.
• Motivated, organised, and capable of delivering against.
