A fantastic permanent opportunity for a Management Accountant to deliver accurate financial analysis, budgeting, cost control and reporting within a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will help drive efficiency and profitability, liaise with departmental heads and support continuous improvement initiatives. Office based, full-time in Aberdeenshire, this role is ideal for a commercially minded professional with strong analytical skills, looking to develop their career and grow with a thriving team and business.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, your role will involve:
- Preparing and analysing month-end management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and variance analysis.
- Assessing monthly accruals and prepayments.
- Monitoring and calculating stock valuations.
- Assisting in preparing quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and cash flow reports.
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintaining product costing information, including overhead absorption.
- Analysing costs, margins and sales pricing to identify efficiencies and improve profitability.
- Supporting improvements to ERP/SAP processes for costing, stock movement and production.
- Holding monthly meetings with other department leads.
- Leading preparation of year-end statutory accounts and liaising with auditors.
- Assisting with projects to strengthen internal controls and processes.
- Collaborating with other departments on costings and raise financial awareness.
- Supervising monthly tasks for the Assistant Management Accountant.
- Providing ad hoc financial analysis and support to the Head of Finance.
