Join a well-established offshore engineering and subsea services organisation as a Sub-Contracts Specialist, supporting complex tendering activities and live projects. The role focuses on pre- and post-award subcontracting and procurement activities, including developing contracting strategies, managing RFQ and ITT processes, evaluating bids, supporting negotiations, and working closely with operational and commercial teams to manage risk, control costs, and support effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering subcontracting and procurement support to tendering activities and live projects.
- Developing and executing subcontracting and procurement strategies pre- and post-contract award in support of project requirements.
- Supporting the development and implementation of procurement plans for individual projects.
- Managing RFQ and ITT processes, including obtaining competitive bids, bid tabulation, bid analysis, and recommendations on subcontractor selection.
- Participating in and supporting negotiations with subcontractors.
- Supporting the negotiation and implementation of supply contracts and framework agreements.
- Ensuring all subcontractors are qualified, approved, and compliant with internal accreditation and due diligence requirements.
- Ensuring company purchasing terms and client flow-through obligations are met by subcontractors to minimise commercial risk.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with subcontractors to support continuity of supply and service delivery.
- Maintaining effective communication with operational and commercial teams regarding requirements, subcontract status, issues, and market intelligence.
- Supporting the monitoring and evaluation of subcontractor performance in conjunction with operational teams.
- Supporting resolution of issues relating to service delivery, quality, documentation, cost, and procurement processes.
- Ensuring procurement systems and documentation are maintained accurately and procurement procedures are followed.
About You:
- Experience in subcontracting, procurement, or contracting within a multi-project engineering environment.
- Exposure to subsea, offshore renewables, and/or oil and gas projects.
- Legal and contractual awareness, with experience supporting contract management and negotiations.
- Experience compiling, analysing, and evaluating commercial quotations and bids.
- Further education in supply chain management, finance, or engineering.
