Skilled Management Accountant required to support a busy finance function through accurate reporting, budgeting and customer cost-plus accounting. The successful candidate will manage month-end processes, fixed assets, environmental and utilities reporting, and provide insurance administration support. Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and confidence working with cross-functional teams are essential. The position also involves assisting with invoicing, operational costings, audit queries and ad hoc projects, demanding excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Producing detailed monthly cost-plus reports for key customers, including budgeting, phasing and journal preparation.
- Verifying work schedules and account data to ensure accuracy before issuing customer reporting packs.
- Gathering accident information and coordinating with insurance brokers to progress and close claims, maintaining an up-to-date motor insurance database.
- Supporting month-end by reviewing accounts, posting journals and generating fuel-usage analysis for the fleet.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register, recording changes and calculating depreciation.
- Compiling environmental data for annual carbon and energy-efficiency reporting.
- Overseeing phone, electricity and water billing, including reconciliations and contract support.
- Assisting the Sales Administration Team with preparing invoices.
- Submitting required statistics to national bodies and completing weekly costings for key operational areas.
- Supporting year-end audit processes and contributing to internal and customer-driven projects and reports.
