A well-established international organisation is seeking a Statutory Accountant on a permanent, full-time basis. This position is suitable for a graduate, ideally with some previous experience, who is looking to develop and grow a career in accounting . In this role you’ll support statutory accounting across the business, assisting with reporting, tax and audit preparation. Overview job description Working as part of the Statutory Accounting team, this role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced team members, and grow your experience in a supportive environment. Main duties and responsibilities Supporting the statutory accounting processes company operations across multiple countries/entities, liaising with tax and audit teams where applicable. Collating the necessary information for audits, ensuring accurate reporting in line with GAAP/IFRS regulations. Liaising with external auditors during audit periods, and providing all required information. Providing key data to assist the tax team to fulfil their annual obligations. Performing accounting allocations and supporting the review of management accounting entries. Supporting internal finance audits by providing documentation and responding to information requests as needed. Assisting with submission of documents to comply with local government authorities. Ensuring fixed asset entries are accurately recorded. Performing any other ad hoc tasks as required. Applicants to this role require Relevant educational background, ideally a degree in accounting or a closely related discipline. Previous transferable experience within an accounting related placement or role. A can-do attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop. Drive and motivation to succeed in the role. Strong teamworking skills, with the ability to integrate into a team environment. Effective cross-cultural communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in Excel is advantageous.
