An exciting opportunity is available to join a fast-growing, PE-backed business as a Financial Controller on a permanent basis, following an internal promotion. This office-based role would be located in North Aberdeenshire, with the potential for some flexibility, offering the option to work from the central Aberdeen office for up to two days per week.
Managing a small team, you will be responsible for business units within the product solutions group. You will also collaborate closely with the Operations Teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and overall business processes, contributing to the strategic direction and success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Reviewing monthly management packs and balance sheet reconciliations for key entities.
- Leading the revenue recognition process and ensuring accurate project cost accounting.
- Preparing weekly cash flow forecasts and assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Supporting the MDs with KPI calls, financial modelling for tenders, and business unit key metrics analysis.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements, optimising working capital, and driving efficiencies in financial controls.
- Ensuring adherence to UK GAAP and group policies.
- Supporting audits and assisting with statutory account preparation.
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Ideally, candidates will be fully qualified, though part-qualified professionals or those with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Proficiency in Sage and PowerBI would be ideal.
