About Us

We are a friendly two-site training practice based in Thorpe Hesley and Bellows Road, Rawmarsh, caring for 5800 patients and commutable from Sheffield, Barnsley and Doncaster. Our team includes 2 ANPs, 1 LTC nurse specialist, 2 nurse practitioners and practice nurses, 2 HCAs/phlebotomists, care navigators, an administration team, and an approachable leadership team. Additional ARRS roles include pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, first contact physiotherapists, mental health team, social prescribers and dementia nurse specialists. We use System One clinical software, have a CQC Good rating, and are active members of our PCN, high QoF achievers, low visits, and host many attached staff.

Main duties of the job

This salaried GP will work 4 to 6 sessions per week and will be part of a multidisciplinary team in a patient-facing role, clinically assessing and diagnosing patients. We seek a caring, enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated and forward-thinking GP who can lead positive and lasting change while maintaining a good work-life balance and supporting special interests.

Benefits include an excellent salary with NHS pension, six weeks annual leave plus a weeks study leave pro rata.

Job responsibilities

  • Provide primary care services to patients of all ages.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical assessments.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Prescribe medications and administer treatments as necessary.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as medical imaging or laboratory tests.
  • Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
