About the role
We’re looking for a Private Client Solicitor to join our leading team based in Dundee. You’ll be part of one of the largest and most experienced Private Client teams in Scotland, working in a collaborative environment where people are proud of the difference they make to clients’ lives. You’ll support individuals and families with some of life’s most important legal matters – from drafting wills and powers of attorney to providing advice on inheritance tax, trusts, and succession planning. You’ll work with a diverse client base and gain experience across a wide range of matters, with support for professional development and a clear path for progression.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or early-career solicitor who is passionate about Private Client law and looking to develop their career in a friendly, supportive, and ambitious team.
It’s about:
- Client Care – Advising clients on wills, powers of attorney, executries, and estate planning with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
- Estate & Tax Planning – Supporting clients in protecting assets, minimising tax liabilities, and preparing for the future.
- Trusts & Succession – Creating and administering trusts and providing advice on complex succession and inheritance matters.
- Relationship Building – Developing strong, lasting relationships with clients, families, and other professional advisors.
- Growth & Development – Taking opportunities to expand your expertise, contributing to business development, and pursuing specialist accreditation (such as STEP).
