Job Responsibilities
- Act upon QOF alerts and prompts during routine consultations
- Provide GP services in line with PMS contract requirements
- Undertake Duty Doctor and Paperwork Doctor sessions on a rota basis
- Support extended hours access when required
- Provide cross-site cover across Thornton Road, Valley Park and other Bourne Health Partnership practices when needed
- Assess, diagnose, treat and refer patients appropriately
- Provide preventative health care and lifestyle advice
- Support patients referred by nursing staff
- Provide certification in line with NHS regulations
- Adhere to local and national prescribing guidelines
- Make autonomous clinical decisions regarding presenting problems
- Maintain clear and accurate electronic clinical records
- Participate in audits and quality improvement activities
- Generate computer-based prescriptions
- Undertake all routine duties associated with general practice
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain a Personal Development Plan aligned with practice goals
- Participate in the training of nurses, GP trainees and medical students
- Support administrative and clinical colleagues
- Attend clinical, prescribing, palliative care and practice meetings
- Chair or present during clinical meetings when required
- Deliver enhanced services and undertake training to support them
- Participate in practice-based commissioning, demand management and peer review
- Ensure compliance with deadlines for QOF, LCS and audit returns
- Take on additional duties as required to support the organisation

- External: Other GP practices and PCN partners, Community and secondary care providers, External agencies and service providers
