We have an opportunity for a Project Engineer to work within our existing Electronic & Physical Security design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own work, supporting projects across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. You will be involved in all aspects of project delivery for security consultancy projects including security planning and physical and electronic security design. This will include delivering to clients' requirements, managing effective professional and technical advice offered to programme, budget and the required quality standards for projects across our portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • To provide security design advice to clients at all stages in their project or programme life cycle.
  • Carry out concept, outline, scheme and detailed designs for electronic security systems.
  • Design works for physical security measures against manual forced entry.
  • Provide contract and tender documentation, tender works, analyse tenders and award contracts.
  • Carry out security surveys of existing solutions and provide reports including security upgrade recommendations and budgetary costings.
  • Monitor works, witness testing and commissioning and provide close-out documentation.
  • Liaise with colleagues, clients, suppliers, manufacturers and contractors to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Successful candidates would be expected to attend appropriate training seminars and conferences to develop and maintain an expertise in security engineering.

Requirements

  • HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a relevant role.
  • Relevant experience in design of physical security solutions.
  • Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate will need to be able to obtain United Kingdom security vetting clearance. Eligibility requirements depend on individual circumstances.
