Job Purpose

To provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents while supporting the management team in the day-to-day running of the home. The Senior Carer will lead shifts, supervise care staff, and ensure all care standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support care staff during shifts
  • Deliver and oversee person-centred care in line with Service User’s care plans
  • Administer and manage medication in accordance with company / NHS policy
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, residents, and families
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards and safeguarding policies
  • Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing of all residents

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Senior Carer
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Good understanding of care standards and safeguarding
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Experience working with older adults and mental health conditions
