Role Overview: As a Broker at Thornton & Baines Legal, you’ll work with our extensive database of leads to generate client meetings. You will receive comprehensive training to provide top‑tier legal advice in estate planning and develop effective sales techniques. No prior experience is required; our robust training program will take you from entry‑level to a qualified estate planner. This is primarily an office‑based position located in The City of London, with a pathway to becoming an Independent Financial Adviser.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert legal advice in Will writing, Trust planning, and Lasting Power of Attorney.
  • Engage with potential clients, converting leads into business relationships.
  • Make referrals to Thornton & Baines Independent Financial Advisers as necessary.
  • Commit to continuous learning and knowledge‑building in estate planning.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethics.

Requirements

  • Develop legal and financial knowledge to work towards the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, fostering strong client relationships.
  • Ensure documentation is completed and recorded correctly.
  • Self‑motivated and driven, with the capability to work independently within a team environment.
  • Ensure accurate and thorough completion of all documentation.
