School First Aid Officer & Healthcare Coordinator
Grade D SCP 6-11 £25,989 - £28,142 (pending pay award). Pro rata – £21,791 - £23,596.
Employment: 37 hours per week, 8:00am – 4:00pm, term time only. Permanent post, Required ASAP.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid assistance to all students during school hours.
- Administer medication and provide care for students who become unwell.
- Implement and monitor Health Care Plans and Personal Emergency Plans (PEPs) to meet individual student needs.
- Work closely with staff, students, and parents to ensure timely and effective medical and health care.
- Maintain accurate records of medical incidents and treatments.
- Conduct regular health screenings and maintain up-to-date health documentation.
Qualifications:
- Relevant first aid certification (CPR, Advanced First Aid).
- Experience in school health or comparable environment preferred.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Requisite enhanced DBS check completion.
