School First Aid Officer & Healthcare Coordinator

Grade D SCP 6-11 £25,989 - £28,142 (pending pay award). Pro rata – £21,791 - £23,596.

Employment: 37 hours per week, 8:00am – 4:00pm, term time only. Permanent post, Required ASAP.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid assistance to all students during school hours.
  • Administer medication and provide care for students who become unwell.
  • Implement and monitor Health Care Plans and Personal Emergency Plans (PEPs) to meet individual student needs.
  • Work closely with staff, students, and parents to ensure timely and effective medical and health care.
  • Maintain accurate records of medical incidents and treatments.
  • Conduct regular health screenings and maintain up-to-date health documentation.

Qualifications

  • Relevant first aid certification (CPR, Advanced First Aid).
  • Experience in school health or comparable environment preferred.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Requisite enhanced DBS check completion.
