We operate 124 sheltered flats for assisted living, all with 24 hour warden support, and a 44 bed care home offering residential care for frail elderly people and for those living with dementia.
We’re looking for a Receptionist to join our team at Churcher Court, providing a warm and professional front-of-house experience for residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
About the Receptionist Role:
As the first point of contact, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe, and positive environment. You’ll support the smooth day-to-day running of the home through a mix of reception, communication, and administrative duties, ensuring everyone who walks through our doors feels valued.
As our Receptionist, you will:
- Deliver a warm and professional welcome to all visitors, residents, and staff
- Manage calls and enquiries, providing a helpful and friendly response
- Maintain a clean, organised reception area
- Support tours for prospective residents and their families
- Help create a positive and memorable visitor experience
- Act as a key link between residents, families, and staff
- Listen and respond to queries, ensuring appropriate follow-up
- Handle telephone and email enquiries professionally
- Prepare correspondence, maintain records, and manage filing systems
- Ensure all data is handled in line with data protection requirements
- Manage incoming and outgoing post and general administrative tasks
- Liaise with departments across the Trust to support smooth operations
- Support ordering of supplies and maintain stock levels
- Assist with surveys, audits, and general operational support
- Ensure compliance with safety, data protection, and safeguarding policies
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
- Experience in a reception or customer-facing role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, general systems)
- A calm, friendly, and professional approach under pressure
- A proactive team player with a positive attitude and great attention to detail
It would be great if you had:
- Experience within a care or residential environment
- Understanding of working with residents living with dementia
