Laundry Assistant Contract

  • £12.71 per hour
  • Contracted to 20 hours per week
  • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Laundry Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring residents’ clothing and linen are cared for to a high standard, supporting comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail and organisation are essential. You will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing and returning items correctly, ensuring all clothing is clearly labelled and handled with care. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the laundry area, you will ensure all processes are carried out safely and efficiently. Working as part of a supportive team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and laundry procedures, ensuring a consistent and reliable service that contributes to a well-organised and comfortable environment. The successful candidate will be required to work some weekends.
