Thornfield Care Home is situated on the outskirts of the lovely seaside town of Seaton, located on the world-famous Jurassic Coast. Thornfield Care Home is registered for 52 residents. As Thornfield continues to grow and thrive, we are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated and compassionate team, committed to putting residents first.
£12.71 per hour. Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided. 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract).
Role Overview
As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person-centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia. Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
