Can you build relationships, drive revenue and lead a high-performing sales culture? We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead the growth of Thornbury Golf Club & Lodge, taking ownership of Membership, Group Golf, Functions & Events and wider commercial sales performance. This is more than a sales role. We’re looking for someone who can build a proactive business pipeline, create strong local partnerships, lead and inspire a team, and deliver measurable commercial success. You’ll play a key role in strengthening Thornbury’s position as the premier family‑centric golf and leisure destination in the region.
Responsibilities
- Driving Commercial Growth
- Full ownership of Membership, Group Golf, Functions & Lodge revenue performance (£1.4m+ annual accountability)
- Building and maintaining a strong external sales pipeline
- Identifying new revenue opportunities and partnerships
- Delivering against monthly and annual growth targets
- Business Development & Networking
- Creating strong relationships with local businesses, corporate partners and community organisations
- Representing Thornbury Golf Club & Lodge at networking events, exhibitions and business forums
- Proactively generating new membership, golf day, event and corporate opportunities
- Sales & Marketing Leadership
- Delivering impactful sales and marketing initiatives that drive enquiries and conversions
- Supporting digital and social media activity to increase brand awareness
- Driving customer acquisition, retention and engagement
- People Leadership
- Leading, developing and motivating a high-performing Sales team
- Creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and exceptional customer service
- Coaching and developing colleagues to maximise performance and conversion
